Unboxing/Review: Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics

I got another package the other day!!! I am almost at the end of things I will be getting in the mail but it has been a pretty good run. This one is from Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics. They were having a holiday sale so I decided to try out a few eyeshadows. It came well packaged in a bubble mailer.

Inside that was this adorable little bag.

The bag had a cute glittery bat sticker on it that I stuck on my Lunatick coffin case! So here are the colours I received.

The colours I got were Mint To Die For, The Doctor's Wife and Kompanion No. 9. I also got samples of Shadow of Things and Neno. Here is a swatch on my arm with no base:

I will list them from top to bottom.

Mint To Die For: This is a gorgeous soft minty green. It is a matte base with some lovely green glitter in it.

The Doctor's Wife: This is a Doctor Who themed colour and it really does remind me of the Tardis. It is slightly bright in person that this photograph shows. It has a low sheen and sparkle to it, but seems pretty matte. This is also an amazing match for my Impulse Cosmetics Smoking Gun lipstick. I'm kind of excited to try a look where my eyes match my lips soon. This shade a a serious tendency to stain, which is the only problem.

Kompanion No. 9: This is a gorgeous colour. It is a blue-toned grey that has a red duochrome to it. This is one of the most interesting colours I have seen in a while, and the picture really doesn't do it justice! It has become one of my favourite shades lately because it is so unusual.

Shadow of Things (Sample): This is a beautiful blackened base filled with aqua blue sparkles and shimmer. I really like this, but I have a lot of similar shades.

Neno: This colour is fantastic! It is a taupe shade that is just packed with sparkles. I am planning on buying a full size of this one as soon as I can!

That is it for my little mini haul! I really like this company so far. They have a lot of interesting, unique shades. I will definitely buy from them again!

Have you ever tried Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics? What did you think?

  1. I've just got into indie brands! I'm ready to order some things form GeekChic, are you familiar with the brand? Are they any good? Anyway, I love that Doctor Who/ Tardis shade! I'll have to check these guys out later :)

    great haul!

    2. Geek Chic is one of my favorite indies! They have a silky smooth formula because their shadows are so finely milled. The owners are also super sweet ^_^ I recommend them wholeheartedly.

  2. That mint is terribly pretty.

I'm not into loose shadows myself, but I really love seeing all the ones you get :)

    1. Thanks hun! I love the loose ones for some reason, even though they can make such a mess.

  3. The Doctor's Wife looks great! I may have to pick up a sample of that next time. I have Shadow of Things and I really like, though I agree, it's not the most unusual shade out there.

  5. The Doctor's Wife is really great; I'm glad you got a full-size/jar because it doesn't press well at all. After it got ruined from pressing, Carrie sent me another sample for free just so I have one to play with. I love Carrie and NM so much!

I was also really surprised at Kompanion No.9. It looked like a normal gray on the site but I got it for the name (I love K9!), and when I swatched it, I was so amazed. I did not expect a pink sheen at all! So yeah, as for your question, I love Notoriously Morbid ^^; They're one of my favorite indie brands (in terms of customer service AND quality) and I hope to see more hauls from you :D

    2. She was the one who made me break my no-buy! One of her Free Friday deals included a free full-size sample of a new color in her upcoming Valentines Day collection. I couldn't pass it up :O Carrie's such a sweetheart and I'm glad her shadows are spectacular. It makes me not even feel bad about buying so much ^_^
