Unboxing: ELF Cosmetics Haul!

Before Christmas ELF was having a 50% off their studio line sale. I have never tried ELF products before and figured this would be a good, cheap introduction. They also had free shipping (or part off the shipping outside the US) if you spent over $35! Shipping to Canada over the holidays actually took less time than I thought it would. It made it here before New Years!

That's everything I received! I won't go through everything in this post, since that would take forever, but expect a few reviews in the future! Some of the things I am most excited to try are the Makeup Lock & Seal, the Hydrating Face Primer, the brushes I got and the lip products.

Their customer service is alright. They never gave me a tracking number at first. I had to separate emails from them that were supposed to have a tracking number and instead were just blank. When I contacted them about it though, they got back to me within the hour and gave me my tracking number. I also am missing one item that I purchased, a geometric eyeshadow palette. The invoice that came with my order even has that item circled on it, like they also noticed it wasn't there before they shipped it, or something. I have sent another email to them about that and am waiting for a reply. I expect it to take a bit longer since I am writing this New Years day. I will give you an update when they do reply.

Well, that's it for today. Sorry for the bad picture quality, but these were taken on a camera at my parents house instead of here with my camera. I had to go pick it up there and was just too excited to wait!

Have you ever tried ELF products before? What are your favourites?

  2. Yes I love a good ELF sale haul! :D I really want to know how the sealing gel works out for you. It looks like you got some of my favorites... I spy a lip exfoliator, a moisturizing lipstick, and do I see a clear lipliner too? Those are the best. Most of the black-handled "studio" brushes are good for the price too - I have several of them. I got the HD powder a while ago but I just opened it yesterday... we will have to compare notes, haha.

    1. Wow, you know your ELF Products! Right on all of them! That clear lipliner is amazing I tried it out last night along with the lip exfoliator, which I love.

  3. I've never ordered from them and I don't know why! I fill up a cart all of the time, but never checkout! It's about time I ordered from them because these items look lovely! My favorite ELF products are the mineral face primer (works just as well as smashbox) and the clear brow gel!

  4. I really love the brushes from the studio line! I'm amazed at how soft they are and how well they work, especially for the price! My favorites are the powder, blush, and stipple brush.

    1. You are right! I got it in the cream and powder formulas. So far loving the powders version, not so sure about the creams.

  6. Ahh I recently got my ELF order also! I held off on ordering them for a really long time since I discovered indies, but I started running out of products and needed more brushes. I think I see the bronze&blush duo powder AND cream? I got the cream to use as a contour and I think it's pretty nice :) The eyebrow kit is also amazing.

My favorites from them are actually their eyeshadow brush, eye crease brush, blending eye brush, eyebrow kit, eyelid primer (must try! It's only $1 :D). Their studio blushes are also pretty great! Ugh, I can't rave about ELF enough.

Also, when they circle something, it means they ran out of stock and it's "back-ordered" or something. I'm glad you sent an email, they should respond within a day or two. The tracking number issue never happened to me before out of the hundreds of times I ordered, hope this doesn't put you off from buying from them again!

  7. Yep I got both the powder and the cream. I figured I would see which I liked better on my skin. Or I could set the creams with the powders for a really intense look.

And no, I still am pleased enough with my ELF order to order again. I actually think there are a few products I won't be able to live without now!

    1. Which products did you end up loving? I actually never thought of setting the cream with powder - that's a great tip!

  8. I like E.L.F. a lot, I am ordering their products straight from U.S., because we don't have it here in Lithuania.
My E.L.F. no 1 is their setting spray ;)

  10. Awesome haul! I see the lip exfoliator there! That's the only product I've tried from elf so far, but it works wonders!

  11. LOVE me some e.l.f products! I like the primer & I use their make-up remover cloths everyday. Tried other kinds, but those work the best for eye makeup, definitely recommend them! I recently purchased the eyebrow kit, but haven't braved it yet. Also on the hunt for the lip exfoliator next. Can't wait to read your reviews!
