Halloween Night: Evil Blue Fairy?

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I absolutely love Halloween, it's my favourite day of the year! I did have an awesome costume planned, but I ended up scrapping it because it was cold and rainy. I don't mind though, I have other places I can wear that eventually.

This year I went trick or treating with my cousin and her adorable kids, who are 1 and 3 years old. I had already been to a huge Halloween party on friday, where I wore this UV Sugar Skull. I was really excited at the chance to go trick or treating tonight, I can't lie. I haven't been since I started high school, which was about 8 or 9 years ago.... Aaaaaaanyways, on to the makeup that I wore.

I look super impressed in that picture, don't I? For some reason I could just not get a good picture of myself and my smile was just not working. Every picture I took made me look incredibly grumpy. I honestly wasn't though, I love Halloween! This look ended up being extremely rushed. I had gone over to my parent's house to help carve pumpkins and decorate before I went out. The pumpkin carving didn't take too long, but I ended up spending way too long picking pumpkin seeds out of a giant pile of pumpkin guts. I love toasted pumpkin seeds and I didn't want to miss any! When it finally came time to do my makeup I had no idea what I wanted to do. I just started slapping some colour on my face and decided what it was as I went. In the end, I think it looks like an evil blue fairy or possibly an ice demon.

To do this look I primed my eye and the area all around it with a NYX jumbo pencil in Milk. I then took the bright blue from my new Lunatick Cosmetics Labs AlieNEON stacker and applied it under my eyes and on my lids up to the crease, blending out. I then took a dark navy blue from my BH Cosmetics 120 4th edition palette and used that in the crease. I then took a pale shimmery blue from the same palette and put that on my brow bone and put a shimmery white on my inner corners.

Using an angled eyeliner brush, I just started dipping it into different blue shades from the same palette and applying lines outwards from my eyes. I made sure not to use the same blue shade too many times ever. There were a few lines of shimmery white too. I filled my eyebrows in with the same navy blue as my crease and made then very angular. I also drew lines coming out of them with the navy. To finish it off I lined my eyes with black, put on black mascara, and affixed a bit of BH Cosmetic's mermaid blue glitter to my cheeks with Lunatick Labs glitter adhesive. That was it. I didn't even do any lips. They tend to get in the way of candy eating anyways!

Just for fun it's a picture of the pumpkin I carved!!! I'm definitely no master pumpkin carver, but I like it. It is sitting on a stool with a cape around it to sort of look like a body. I think this year it ended up looking kind of cat-like, which is why I added the ears.

Well, that's everything I did today. I hope your Halloween was just as fun as mine! Let me know what you did in the comments.
